So noisy and uncomfortable it's in breach of UN torture legislation, but on the plus side it's more agile in the wild than a leopard. And it won't ever change its spots.
ได้คะแนนรวมๆไป 13/20
A dinosaur and the daddy at the same time. The Land Rover Defender is an off-roader that can travel on-road, rather than the other way around. Recent changes mean that it’s not quite as mind-numbing and physically demanding to drive than before, but this remains a car that puts agriculture before culture
Comfort 4/20
The seats may have adjustable backrests for the first time, and the steering wheel may now adjust (a bit) but the Defender is still one of the most uncomfortable cars ever to leave the farm. Enthusiasts will tell you they are comfy, but they’ve been affected by years of driving the Defender and have no real insight into modern levels of comfort. The Transit engine is also noisy and truck-like.
Performance 10/20
The new 2.4-litre common-rail diesel is derived from the one used in Ford’s Transit, so if nothing else it should be reliable. It feels more powerful than anything that’s gone before it in a Defender – though 120bhp doesn’t sound like much – thanks to a proper torque curve with 266lb ft at its disposal. The six-speed manual also has longer ratios to make cruising less brain damaging and that means the sprint to 62mph takes a leisurely 14.7 seconds. There’s an 82mph limiter, thankfully.
Cool 15/20
If you think hammers are cool, or that brass knuckles are cutting edge weaponry, then the Defender is cool. But anything this honest has a certain charm.
Quality 8/20
There’s a new dash for the latest Defender, and it borrows more stuff from the Freelander and Discovery to give it a more upmarket and up-to-date feel. It’s still a great big slab of dash though, and it errs on the cheap side for quality. Function doesn’t have to be ugly, but in the Defender, it is.
Handling 8/20
The Defender has been conceived as the ultimate off-roader, so long-travel, Eiger-subduing suspension doesn’t do much for on-road manners. It will go around a corner (eventually), but you have to be careful and slow to avoid hellish understeer. Saying that, with the right technique and tyres, the Defender remains one of the world’s greatest off-road vehicles.
Practicality 19/20
It’s a box with a hefty 4x4 drivetrain, so the Defender is as practical as these things get. You won’t find the old side-facing rear seats for new-fangled safety reasons, but you can still seat four in the 90-inch version and seven in the 110. It works, but because it happens to be a very regular and large expanse of interior rather than anything clever.

discovery 4

Only slightly lighter than a centurion tank, the Disco remains the Yummy Mummy favourite. Bit of overkill, but we're partial to one.
ได้คะแนนรวมๆไป 17/20
The car that consolidated Land Rover’s renaissance, but this time more in the ‘medium affordable’ sector. We like it, but it's overkill in reality.
Comfort 14/20
Getting pretty close to Range Rover levels of comfort with the Discovery, even with the diesel engine. It's quiet enough, capable of cruising at respectable speeds and has plenty of room. Try not to think of the Discovery as an off-roader that's been civilised, because it really is so much more than that.
Performance 13/20
The 3.0-litre V6 diesel features twin turbochargers, meaning although it's as weighty as America's debt burden, it shifts pretty darn convincingly given its size.
Cool 14/20
Too common to be truly cool. But respectable. A bit like Marks and Spencer.
Quality 12/20
A lovely interior. Closer to the Rangie than the Defender, everything in here feels chunky and well-sorted. It might not be quite as luxurious as the Range Rover, but there's a sense that Land Rover wants to be taken seriously. There have been issues with door seals and various bits'n'bobs on the earlier cars, but those reliability problems have been sorted.
Handling 12/20
Land Rover really couldn't have made driving the Disco 4 simpler. In everyday use it's just a big, tall car admittedly, but nothing unusual about it. Key changes with 2010's refresh, along with the engine, included some tweaking of the suspension. It'll still go anywhere off-road, but it's more adept on it now. It rides decently, while the steering is not the nightmare that you might anticipate.
Practicality 15/20
Go for the seven-seat option and you'll be in for a treat. Both rear seats fold away individually into the floor and are capable of carrying a proper full-size human. The boot's big with them folded (making it a five-seater) and even more so with everything flat-packed and the Disco doing a van impersonation. Stadium rear seating means the kids can see what's going on

freelander 2

Compact SUV benchmark that's no longer styled like a bench. A real coming-of-age model, it sorts previous reliability issues and delivers the full urban cool experience.
ได้คะแนนรวมๆไป 14/20
The next-generation Land Rover Freelander has come a long way – a bit like the Discovery. Gone are the tawdry finishes and the feeling that it might break at any second, to be replaced by solidity, quality and a feeling that this is more baby Range Rover than grown-up donkey cart.
Comfort 14/20
Despite the ‘practical' origins of many Land Rovers, the Freelander is very comfy. It can eliminate lumps and bumps, though it does get a little confused by small, regular irregularities and the steering's a bit light. Other than that, it's a great daily hack.
Performance 12/20
A pair of mills get to power the new 'Lander and it's a straight choice between petrol V6 or turbodiesel four. The V6 is a Volvo-sourced 3.2-litre with 230bhp and 233lb ft giving a 0-62mph time of 8.4 seconds and a top speed of 124mph. Those numbers are OK, but the fuel consumption of 25.2mpg really isn't. Which is why you'll probably be more interested in the 2.2-litre diesel; 0-62mph in 10.9 and 112mph, and 37.7mpg.
Cool 12/20
Not cool as such, but respectable.
Quality 13/20
New vs. old Freelander is a bit like Jessica Alba vs. Sam Fox. They might have a similar remit, but they're pretty much unrecognisable in the way they go about it. The new Freelander is quieter, more refined and, so far, infinitely more reliable than the old car. And having some Discovery/Range Rover genes floating around the interior certainly help with the feeling of quality.
Handling 12/20
The Freelander draws on Land Rover's experience of making an SUV acceptable for tarmac use and actually goes some way beyond that. It has both a decent ride quality and an ability to drive reasonably hard without falling off at the first hint of a corner. A bit of understeer, but not too much.
Practicality 10/20
The boot is about a billion times bigger than the old model (it's actually up 38percent, but that's loads), and there's plenty of room up front. Not so much legroom in the rear but under six-footers should be fine. Seats down and the Freelander has 1670litres of stowspace to play with - not bad, but the high load floor may put you off.

range rover ครับตาเกิ้น

Part of the landscape of Britain, rather like Blenheim Palace or the Cotswolds – both of which, coincidentally, are places where Range Rovers gather like wilderbeest.
ได้คะแนนรวมๆไป 17/20
The Range Rover is an icon and we don’t use the word as glibly as some. A long history has delivered some lemons, but the current generation Rangie is the best yet – comfort, understated style, luxury. If you’re in the market for a large posh saloon, take a wildcard ride in a Rangie before you buy an S-class.
Comfort 17/20
If you fancy something other than a large limo, try a Range Rover. The ride is one of the best in class, killing bumps and massacring road imperfections, especially in the variants with higher aspect-ratio tyres. The supercharged V8 is trying to be sporty and loses some of the comfort, which is a shame.
Performance 15/20
If you want a reasonable and refined Rangie then the 3.6-litre V8 diesel is hard to beat; 268bhp, 0-62mph in 9.2 and 124mph is probably all you'll ever need in such a big car. If you don't care about fuel bills, then take a punt on either the normally aspirated 4.4 V8 or the 4.2-litre supercharged - the forced induction car is genuinely fast for its size with 0-62mph coming up in just 7.5 seconds and with a 130mph top end.
Cool 17/20
Billionaires and pop stars, rappers and English landowners all rate the Range Rover. You should too. It's the most regal 4x4 out there.
Quality 13/20
Land Rover has banished the quality gremlins with the latest Range Rover. Well, almost; early air-suspension niggles should now be sorted. The interior is simply superb, great finishes and top end design make it a fabulous place to spend time - you will genuinely never get bored of sitting in here.
Handling 13/20
A real surprise. Very little body roll (air suspension again) and a totally surefooted stance mean that you can clip along at a respectable pace -it's bulky, but you'll be surprised by its nimble reactions. Off-road the Range Rover is still well up with the best thanks to Land Rover's ‘Terrain Response' system which alters throttle maps and traction control to give you the best possible grip - only subsequently hampered by road-biased tyres. The steering's slightly numb, but we'll forgive it that when parking.
Practicality 12/20
The split tailgate means that you can spread a picnic on the back when out charging around doing country pursuits. When not persuing the country, you can take advantage of massive space for five, a 535-litre boot and the knowledge that if you were to fold the seats down, you'd have 2091litres to play with. You won't be delivering many washing machines, but it's nice to know that you could

Range Rover Evoque
http://www.topgear.com/uk/assets/cms/415b2ec3-134f-4e95-bd0b-79206bbd468d/Image.jpg?p=111010_04:16
Think of it as a hairdresser's car at your peril: the new Evoque is one of the ballsiest cars in the world. You want one.
ได้คะแนนรวมๆไป 16/20
The Evoque is more than a mere luxury purchase, it adds up on strictly rational grounds, too. It's an impeccably behaved, luxurious road car with the ability to tackle almost any terrain
Comfort 16/20
So disarmingly comfortable is the Evoque it becomes easy to forget that you're driving not a dedicated off-roader with long-travel suspension and diff locks, but instead a dinky hatchback that copes with roads as tautly as a Ford Focus does.
Performance 13/20
The petrol will be the quickest powertrain. It's the 2.0 turbo direct-injection engine from the latest Mondeo, but powered up to 240 horses. It's re-engineered to allow the usual Range Rover off-roading ruggedness. It can still run when tipped at 45 degrees, or you're 50cm deep in water.
There's a 190bhp 2.2 diesel too, with willing torque over a wide rev range. It's easy to drive smoothly or briskly or both, and the standard manual six-speed works well. And in this form it's economical, with a sub-150g/km rating.
Cool 15/20
Yes. Next.
Quality 16/20
The Evoque shell feels strong and solid, and everything is well bolted to it. This matters. It's smaller and lower than a Q5 or X3 but it will cost as much, and those vehicles are granite-strong. The Evoque has to match them.
Handling 16/20
The Evoque's got lovely compliant suspension and phenomenal damping. It simply flows over even the worst tarmac. Flat but never jarring, pliant but never sloppy, it has the same extraordinary breathability of the best Jaguars. The optional magnetorheological dampers play a big part in this. Though essentially the same system used in the Ferrari 599 and Audi R8, the Evoque is the first car in the world to get the third-generation ‘MagneRide' system, and the result is phenomenal: bipolar in the nicest possible way. The adaptive damping only comes as standard on the top-spec ‘Dynamic' model: it's a £1,150 cost option on other trim levels, but one that's well worth the cash.
It even eased over knee-deep sludgy ruts without a clank or scrape, tackling a 45-degree, slick-mud incline with nothing more than a judder of the traction control, a hill at the very limit of even the Freelander's abilities.
Practicality 10/20
It's an easy car to slot through traffic, feeling compact and dainty, the steering sharp and the visibility surprisingly bearable, considering the Evoque's squished rear.
Despite its wedged profile, there's plenty of rear-seat space in both the three-and five-door Evoque, but if you're planning on putting kids back there, bear in mind that the narrow windowline will make long journeys claustrophobic. Solve this by speccing the giant, panoramic sunroof of our test car - a £460 option, and the ideal birthday present for any budding junior astronomer.

:)Range Rover Sport
http://www.topgear.com/uk/assets/cms/70b79fe4-2583-4bb1-8554-172aa92eabe2/Image.jpg?p=081111_03:09
A slight commotion in the Range Rover world as the unruly cousin nobody mentions charges into the party with his loud friends. Wear your tweed cap back to front.
ได้คะแนนรวมๆไป 12/20
The Range Rover Sport isn’t just a model designation, but a different car. Lower, smaller and supposedly a bit meaner, the Sport supposedly brings the price of entry into Range Rover ownership down. It does, but whether it should is another conversation entirely.
Comfort 12/20
Sharper than a Discovery 3 by some margin, but not quite as composed as the Range Rover, it doesn't quite know what it wants to be. It might ultimately be faster than its big brother, but better? That's up for debate. We'd take a base-spec Rangie proper every time.
Performance 14/20
A combination of engine options from the Discovery 3 and the Range Rover appear in the Sport; 2.7-litre V6 diesel (Disco3), 4.4 V8 or 4.2 supercharged V8 (Range Rover). The diesel is a great engine and works well, but it's hardly sporty. The supercharged V8 is the only engine that'll make you pay attention; 0-62mph in 7.2 and on to 140mph - though it's worth remembering that if you want a fast SUV, both BMW and Porsche are down into the fives for acceleration, and they both handle considerably better.
Cool 8/20
Some people think that the Range Rover Sport is the coolest thing on the planet. We aren't those people.
Quality 10/20
Initially the Range Rover Sport feels pretty high class - until you have a go in a Range Rover, then it feels like a smaller, cheaper copy. It shouldn't vex too many people though - and the usual LR niggles have been worked through on other cars, so the RRS should be reliable after all that.
Handling 14/20
Surprisingly not quite as good as the Range Rover proper - maybe because it's based on the Discovery chassis. It can still be made to surprise a few hot hatches, but it's not the most responsive of set-ups. The steering is nothing special, but the body control is good, with the usual excellent beyond-the-beaten-track ability and Land Rover's ‘Terrain Response' system making off-roading with style a mere twist of a knob away.
Practicality 11/20
The RRS is lower and shorter than the RR, but head, leg and elbow space is still pretty good as long as we're talking for four rather than five. The usual RR split tailgate is very handy, and there's a decent boot.
