Every week for the last 4 months Max and Hanna are boxing after archery. Hanna does not take too serious, but Max found out that Muay Thai helps him. How ?

He leaves his bottled up emotions , fears and anger in the gym. I don't think he is a good boxer, but i do know the positive effect this Thai martial art has on him. It gives him confidence, makes him strong, lights up his soul and yes it does help him with his archery, as he lets go of all his worries and sleeps a stress-free, deep sleep. We tried it before Kasetsart and PC. Both times he gave everything at boxing and delivered very well on the archery field.

As in AT Max is lucky with his coaches, who treat him like family and push him and his sister to do their best. What a treat for a father to watch this. I am happy.:bullseye:

http://www.samart-payakaroon.com.

This gym is very good. Their focus is on technique and with it the beauty of this sport. I think 3 coaches are active fighters, 2 of them have been champions in their time and K.Samart does not need introduction. Even i knew who he was before i brought Max to the gym and i know nothing about Muay Thai.

It is super cool to see these guys get ready for fights. Hard work and total dedication, skill and perseverance. It is downright scary when you see them break loose in training - this is where you see 1st hand what Muay Thai is designed to do. It is a warrior's tool box and when practiced by a master the body becomes a weapon, the mind is sharp and fast. The boxers/teachers are polite, kind and soft spoken. I am in awe of he whole thing and admire them. This martial art deserves respect and Thais should be proud that Muay Thai was invented here.

After practice they take a shower and coach kids. You can see them fight on TV on Saturday - Sunday they will be coaching again. This is the warrior spirit

For Max it is about learning who he is and what he can do if he puts his mind to it. It helped him in his archery and in school. Archery is his sport, there is no doubt about that. But Muay Thai teaches him how to stay in shape, be focussed and fight on no matter what comes his way. These are lessons for life.

They have asked me to start and i am thinking about it. I am shy about my weight and age and think it is a waste of their time to try and coach me.

On the other hand there is a very strong attraction to this sport. Yesterday i tried to wrestle Kru Nij a ittle. As a young man I played Rugby and you guys how much i weigh :] now. Kru Nij weight less than half of me. After some awckward seconds, i did try to get him and ended up flying through the air [not very far] and rollling on the mat. Was very happy i could still remember how to roll and sat there smiling.
