I am sitting on my motorbike whilst about 20m away and at the same height a man is getting into the 2nd level of his house. This is the situation: our defenses hold and the water is at about 90cm above road-level with roughly 10cm to go. There is more water coming. We hear that over 1,7mio sandbags went into this defense and there are enough left to protect us. Our blessing causes other people to suffer. I am relived, but not happy - if that makes sense to you.

The water stinks, is full of waste, slow moving and people have been sitting in it since last Thursday. My feet itch and my eyes burn when i came home from my motorbike trips to the klong, but on this side of the BKK defense wall we have access to fresh water and medicine.

This is my last VDO, as I feel that my village is safe and i can not see the the point of showing you how other ppl suffer. What unfolded right outside my doorstep [look at the Google map at the beginning of the VDO] is heartbreaking. Pathum, Ayutthaya are just 20min and 40min away and in deep, deep trouble - I'll ask our rescue teams what i can do to help there

Hope to see you all in good health and spirit next week when we return to archery practice :bullseye:
